Parasol Sky Returns as Silver Dollar City's Spring Exposition Opens

Valley Road at Silver Dollar City goes into full bloom this weekend, and the whole park tilts toward color. The annual Spring Exposition runs April 2 through May 4, and its signature feature — the Parasol Sky — is back. Hundreds of umbrellas strung overhead in every shade the Ozarks will allow, turning a stretch of the 1880s streetscape into the park's most photographed stretch of the year.

Beneath the canopy, the season layers limited-time flavors (the funnel cakes get a little fancier every spring), live music on the craft square, and seasonal shows that lean into the lighter, louder side of Ozark tradition. The blooming gardens frame the rides, and the rides — as always — frame the laughter.

Plan your visit: Weekdays right after opening are the calmest. Head straight for Valley Road before the light changes, because Parasol Sky reads best under the late-morning sun. Tickets and the full calendar are on the Silver Dollar City website.
